Has anyone found a DVD codec that works well with BIoEra on WIN 7. I know a lot of the DVD player software, WinDVD and PowerDVD do not work reliably. Anyone tried k-lite or d-scaler with success? I am currently running on XP and am hesitant to upgrade if DVD playback is problematic.

I was told that WinDVD version 8 (yes, an old version), gold (not platinum or any other) works well on any system, including XP, Win7 and Win8. This is the version which is used by Jeff Carmen, he sells a system with DVD feedback only (as far as I know).
I tried d-scaler once in the past and it worked for me. But I know of at least one other person who couldn't do it.
BioEra uses Windows interface to play dvd, so technically all of them should work, but that is just theory. I usually clean my computer after purchase (reinstall system) so most codecs I tried in the past worked (I had a problem with one or two).
Various codecs sometimes interfere with each other. New computers have a lot of them preinstalled (un-installation can help, but not always).
