Hi,

I'm trying to test whether BioEra would work for me, and as part of that, trying to get see if I can connect a Rhythm24.

My Rhythm24 successfully connects via bluetooth to my PC.

But I've noticed that the BioEra manual says that to get it to work, a Silicon Labs BLED112-V1 bluetooth dongle is required. Is this correct even for recent laptops which have bluetooth support built in?

To be more precise / accurate: is there a reason that the built-in Windows virtual COM port is no good for this?

Many thanks

Simon

Yes, all BLE devices supported by BioEra require BLED112 dongle. It is inexpensive and has options which are not available in other bluetooth dongles.

Virtual com ports come with classic bluetooth, which is a different type than BLE (bluetooth low energy) needed for Rhythm24.
